arrival at the balloon festival

We got a ride to the airport from Mary. That was cheaper than an Uber or parking at the airport each of which would have been a hundred dollars we are so grateful. We took Braun to Cate last night. It was wonderful to only need a carry on bag. I brought us each of us a tray of raspberries for snacking. We flew to Phoenix and got lunch at Panera. Then on to Albuquerque. Lovely weather it's 73.

We were greeted by a cute little towel animal on our bed.

We checked in for our program with Sue, our director and were given little blue tags to put on our name tags.

We had our welcome lecture from Sue followed by dinner. Very thorough. She told us a lot about several trips offered by Road Scholar. We got to know a couple of our fellow travelers Little and Vern Snyder. 

Several of is went to a "package store near the Indian cultural center" well it was a liquor store at a gas station. We had a good laugh. Went back to our hotel and watched botched on TV.
